Namaste and namaskar are used as a respectful, humble form of greeting, acknowledging and welcoming a relative, guest or stranger in Indian, Nepali, Bangladeshi and South East Asian cultures and yogic traditions. While "Namaste" means "I bow to you", "Namaskar" means "I bow to your form" and is considered a more formal greeting meant to show even greater respect: for “You and me both have God inside us , and I bow down to you and greet that God, that is in you”. 🙏🏽💗
Here's to the profound depth of what may seem like a simple greeting- and spreading respect, humility, and positivity like pollen!
